Swimming Pool Games are numerous and a great fun both for kids and adults. They can be played in private inground or above ground swimming pools. But they are mainly prohibited in public pools. There are some games that are country popular, while others are popular around the world.

Marco Polo swimming pool game is international, because you can find it played in the US, Canada, the UK, and South America. The rules of the game is very easy. One of players, Marco, is to catch any of other players, but should do it with eyes closed. Players can call 'Polo', so that a catcher can understand where one stands. The one player who is caught becomes a catcher, there is no winner in the swimming pool game, because it's played for activity pleasure.

There is another variation of the game, the so called 'fish out of water', the main difference between them is as follows: a catcher should have his or her eyes closed above water, but open when underwater. In this case a catcher is called a searcher.

Sharks and minnows, or maidens is one more swimming pool game with one person acting as a shark, and all the others being minnows or maidens. The principle of playing is similar with MArco Polo. The game starts after a shark calls 'Cross the ocean'. Other players begin swimming or diving to the opposite wall of a pool, and the one who has been touched by a shark is to become a next catcher. Minnows are in safe, after touching the opposite wall. If a shark can't catch a minnow during the first sailing, then the game goes as long as a succeeder is caught. Afterwards the title of shark  is passed to the one minnow or maiden caught. This swimming pool game is in favour among kids around the globe, though it can have different names in different countries.

Another popular swimming pool game is shoulders wars. After all the players dividing into two teams, two players of the teams should be chosen. The way of playing the game is easy and funny: one player should shoulder the other one, the latter is called a vehicle. And then the game starts: players of the rival teams should make their competitors fall into a pool. Here is an interesting point to keep in mind: an attacker can fight with hands and legs, but should be careful not to fall in water, while a vehicle can only push rivals. The team that has made competitors get into water wins.

Don't forget about water kinds of sport, such as water polo, water volleyball or badminton, etc.

Make your swimming pool game winning!
